As the Operations Supervisor, you will exemplify safe operational practices, provide visible leadership, mentor and develop team members, and ensure accountability for safety across the board. You will lead a skilled team of technicians dedicated to maintaining our facility's equipment and ensuring the success of our pipeline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to meet safety, operational, and maintenance objectives.
  • Ensure team members are well-trained and capable of recognizing hazards while performing their duties safely.
  • Verify that all tasks are executed in strict compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and motivating work environment, holding employees accountable for adhering to safety protocols.
  • Be a consistent presence at work sites, supervising and auditing critical safety procedures while providing timely feedback.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting routine analyses of operating costs.
  • Communicate outage plans to stakeholders to minimize impacts on customers and profitability.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where information is shared openly.
  • Excel in a team setting and build effective teams.
  • Oversee workforce planning and career development for team members.
  • Delegate and coordinate tasks among team members.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers to identify and enhance potential opportunities.
  • Ensure economic operations by managing costs through precise planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling, with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance.
  • Analyze and develop process improvements and essential documentation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert or change agent for significant organizational programs and initiatives.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Required: High School diploma or GED; a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or senior lead experience and at least eight (8) years of industry-specific operational experience.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree.
Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:
  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises, and in confined spaces.
  • Lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads exceeding 50 lbs as necessary.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods.
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
  • Utilize hand tools.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid State Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Exhibit excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, prioritizing safety above all.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Broad knowledge of pipeline operations, engineering practices, and regulatory compliance is essential.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in troubleshooting tools such as P&IDs, data historian process trending, SCADA, and laboratory/on-line analyzer analysis.
