System Administrator for Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our Operational Technology (OT) Team at the Great Lakes Water Authority. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, configuring, administering, and securing OT infrastructure, including process control systems.

The selected individual will play a critical role in planning, designing, installing, maintaining, and administering GLWA's OT systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provisioning, installing/configuring, and maintaining OT infrastructure, including process control systems, networks, hardware, software, and peripherals;
  • System Administration for the Ovation Distributed Control System, Allen Bradley/Rockwell systems, including servers, workstations, historians, and controllers;
  • Capacity planning and management, security planning and management, and performance management of one or more systems;
  • Configuring I/O databases, HMI graphics, control logic, reporting, and communications;
  • Technical Lead for internal and capital projects that include OT infrastructure components;
  • Reviewing designs to ensure they meet business and technical requirements;
  • Consulting with Process Operations and other business units to improve functionality and performance of process control systems;
  • Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within process control systems;
  • Planning, designing, and implementing additions, upgrades, replacements, or retirements of network and communications OT infrastructure;

A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience as an Infrastructure Administrator is required, or a combination of related work experience and education.
