Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Dentist to join our team at ProSmile. As a Pediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive dental exams for infants, children, and adolescents, assessing oral health, growth, and potential issues like tooth decay and misalignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dental exams to assess oral health and identify potential issues.
  • Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants, while educating parents on proper oral hygiene and diet for children.
  • Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and pulp therapy, and offer interceptive orthodontic treatments to guide proper development.
  • Manage pediatric dental emergencies, such as toothaches or trauma, and educate caregivers on at-home care for emergencies.
  • Utilize child-friendly communication and behavior management strategies, administering sedation or anesthesia when necessary to ensure patient comfort.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and refer patients to specialists for complex treatments beyond pediatric dentistry.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote pediatric oral health and preventative care.

Requirements:

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Completed CODA-accredited pediatric dentistry residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric dentistry
  • Active state licensure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with children and parents
