We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology Special Procedures Technologist to help us achieve our objectives.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Special Procedures Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization, as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring patient status). Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrating accountability and performing procedures with care, compassion, and respect.
  • Preparing and positioning patients and equipment safely and competently according to established protocols.
  • Executing technical radiographic procedures accurately and promptly in line with established operating procedures.
  • Assisting in the administration of contrast media following departmental policies.
  • Obtaining high-quality radiographic images and reviewing them to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collecting and documenting all relevant patient information prior to exams, including patient history, pregnancy status, allergies, and obtaining informed consent as per departmental policy.
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients, providing explanations of procedures within your scope of practice.
  • Ensuring proactive and effective communication with radiologists.
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential may be considered with minimum Interventional Radiology experience.
  • At least 1-3 years of licensed experience in Radiology, including a minimum of one year in Interventional Radiology.
  • Experience in Angio, Peripheral, and Neuro procedures is a plus.
  • BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
