Pharmacy Technician II Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Elevance Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify member information and input data for pharmacists.
  • Process prior authorization requests from physicians' offices and ensure compliance with Medicare requirements.
  • Provide resolution to grievances and appeals issues.
  • Respond to inquiries from physicians, sales teams, and members related to formulary and prescription benefits.
  • Generate reports relating to rebates, physician utilization, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, and other ad hoc reports.

Requirements:

  • Active, professional license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience.

Preferred Capabilities:

  • Experience in high-volume mail order or specialty pharmacy.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments.
