Job Summary:

As a Speech Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders under supervision. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders for both adult and pediatric populations, administering diagnostic tests and implementing individualized treatments.
  • Advise physician and patient of disorders and develop treatment schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing department policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for new or enhanced services or levels of patient care, and work collaboratively with the team to implement changes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Speech Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Internship required by date of hire.
Education

  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology by date of hire.
License, Certification, Registration

  • Speech-Language Pathologist License (California)
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate
  • Basic Life Support required at hire

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
