About the Role

Care Options for Kids is a home health care company that provides one-on-one care in the home. We value our nurses' clinical knowledge and respect the deep bond they establish with the families they care for.

A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse

You will start your day by touching base with your care team and reviewing your client's information in our dedicated Point of Care platform. Your client will greet you warmly and you will assist with their daily needs, including medication administration, tracheostomy care, and ventilation management.

Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to engage in activities with your client, such as going outdoors, reading books, or creating crafts. You will also be responsible for documenting your client's care and progress in our Point of Care platform.

Responsibilities
  • One-to-one nursing care in a home environment
  • Medication administration per physician orders
  • Physician ordered treatments for:
    • Nutrition via a feeding tube
    • Tracheostomy care
    • Suctioning nasal, oral and/or endotracheal
    • Ventilation care
    • Seizure assessment and treatment
Requirements
  • Current, active Florida RN or LPN license
  • Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
  • G-tube, trach, vent experience, or willing to train
  • TB test results or a chest x-ray
  • Alzheimer's training (provided by Care Options for Kids at no cost)
