About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer/Associate to join our Civil Engineering Practice in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will work as part of a team responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of geotechnical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field inspections and subsurface explorations
  • Perform geotechnical and civil engineering analyses
  • Assist with peer review of the design and construction of geotechnical systems
  • Prepare conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damaged geotechnical systems
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university or M.S. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university plus 5 years' experience
  • Degrees, experience or related coursework in Geology/Geological Engineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology or Structural Engineering a strong plus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to develop successful client relations
  • Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently or support multiple group projects and to interact with other engineers, administrative staff, and clients
  • Ability to gather information from a wide variety of sources (e.g., field investigations, document reviews, and interviews) and to synthesize and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry
  • Knowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software, GIS, and imaging software a strong plus

  • Competitive base salary range: USD $105,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 per year
  • Bi-weekly bonuses for high-intensity efforts
