Overview
The Post-Recovery Specialist is tasked with managing a significant volume of incoming calls, acting as a subject matter expert for clients, and providing assistance in a timely and effective manner. This role is crucial for ensuring precise and prompt reporting of all repossessions to clients, adhering to client-specific post-repossession protocols, and aiding related departments in completing necessary administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of calls related to all facets of the post-recovery department, including scheduling vehicle releases, addressing inquiries, and resolving escalations.
  • Ensure timely reporting of all repossessions from third-party service providers to the respective clients, utilizing email or the client's record-keeping system.
  • Collect all required documentation from clients for each repossession to meet service level expectations and deadlines.
  • Handle a large influx of inbound calls to arrange vehicle releases, while also making outbound calls to coordinate pickups, paperwork, and respond to questions.
  • Oversee lot inventory management, which includes managing redemption releases, transport releases, and maintaining accurate records of units on the lot through follow-ups with various agencies.
  • Address contested repossessions to guarantee the vehicle retrieval process is executed efficiently and accurately.
  • Compile analytical repossession reports for clients.
  • Maintain timely and appropriate communication with clients.
  • Provide customer service and answer phone inquiries.
Required Skills
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor on the phone.
  • Possess excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with efficient and accurate data entry and research skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution.
  • Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service or administration within an office environment.
  • Experience managing multiple phone lines is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Work Schedule
