The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Event Server to join our team at NeueHouse. As an Event Server, you will be responsible for creating exceptional service experiences for our members and guests at both NeueHouse Hollywood + Bradbury. You will be the face of our brand, providing warm and gracious hospitality while ensuring that every interaction is memorable and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to members and guests, ensuring that every interaction is warm, welcoming, and memorable.
  • Ensure the café counter and floor are set and ready for service, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain thorough working knowledge of menus and be able to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner.
  • Execute the entire cycle of service thoroughly and efficiently, from greeting to order taking to preparation to assembling to processing payment.
  • Prepare all food and beverages to the standards of NeueHouse, ensuring that every dish and drink meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with the prep kitchen to ensure areas are always fully stocked with food and beverage items, alerting the kitchen when running low on a particular item.
  • Maintain cleanliness of areas, including all surfaces and equipment, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Follow instructions, respond to management directions, and complete tasks on time, demonstrating a high level of dependability and accountability.
  • Develop and coordinate the organization of various areas of The Café and other F&B outlets on property, ensuring that every area is well-maintained and presented.
  • Competency in conversing with members, guests, and potential members regarding NeueHouse and our various exhibitions, programs, pricing structure, and amenities.
  • A charismatic and articulate ambassador of our brands, able to represent NeueHouse with confidence and poise.
Requirements
  • Solution-oriented and taking pride in the details, with a focus on delivering exceptional service experiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with ease.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members, guests, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Amazing coffee knowledge and skill, with the ability to brew and prepare a variety of coffee drinks to our high standards.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and dependability, with a commitment to being at work and on time, ensuring that work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Impeccable customer service skills, responding promptly to member needs, soliciting feedback to improve service, and responding to all member requests.
  • Ability to flourish while working against deadlines, being self-motivated, proactive, and finding creative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Incredible teamwork skills, with the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, and having a positive impact on the team and the organization.
