Docketing Specialist

Job Summary:

Ogletree Deakins is seeking an experienced Docketing Specialist to join our Client Information Risk Services department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support and be proficient in docketing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and enter schedules or deadlines into the docketing system.
  • Generate and proof routine and specialized docketing system reports.
  • Stay up-to-date on jurisdictional rules and regulations.
  • Perform date calculations and apply jurisdictional rules.
  • Ensure retention of source documents in the Document Management System.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 3 years minimum experience in litigation.
  • Experience with CourtAlert or other docketing systems preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Document Management System.
  • Familiarity with PACER and Electronic Court Filings.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and reasoning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with attorneys and staff.
