Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. as a PRN Clinical Nurse. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care, using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others (as appropriate) using effective communication methods, such as bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching, to ensure that patients' goals are the focus of the plan of care.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model through diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care, including initiating and/or leading activities and promoting an inter/intradisciplinary process.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, ensuring a current and future qualified workforce, and modeling the professional practice of nursing.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing, participating in activities such as value analysis to evaluate patient care products.
- Uphold all health care system/organizational policies and procedures, clinical competencies, and professional association standards, ensuring goals such as TJC Patient Safety Goals and Wellstar Health Systems safety absolutes.
- Participate in data collection, pose relevant clinical questions, and consult experts to address practice questions.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and hold basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner.
- Possess excellent time management skills and practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills.
