As a member of OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the country, MedExpress is looking for a Full-Time Independent Nurse Practitioner or Independent Physician Assistant to join our team. At Optum, we are revolutionizing healthcare on a national level while delivering physician-led care locally.

Position Highlights:

  • Open 8 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week
  • Providers typically work 12-hour shifts
  • Average patient load is 3-4 patients per hour
  • Fully licensed medical team and support staff available
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Suturing
  • Splinting
  • Initial interpretation of digital X-rays
  • Incisions and drainage

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or completion of a Physician Assistant program
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through ANCC/AANP or as a Physician Assistant through NCCPA
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to employment
  • DOT certification or ability to secure within the first 60 days of employment
  • Clinical experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • 2+ years in Family Medicine
  • 1.5+ years in Urgent Care
  • 1+ years in Emergency Medicine
  • Experience treating patients across various age groups
  • Proficiency in suturing, splinting, and interpreting X-rays within the past year
  • Willingness to assist at other locations as needed
