Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional and Neuro-Interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional and Neuro-Interventional procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure and providing instructions
  • Utilize the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information, enter preliminary reporting, and document any critical findings
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic vascular laboratory examinations using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment
  • Adhere to exam protocols and use sterile technique
Requirements
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support- American Heart Association (preferred)
  • Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT) (preferred)
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiology R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT) (preferred)
  • State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute
  • 1 year experience in radiology with surgery experience in use of CR
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
  • Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
Working Conditions

May be exposed to human blood and other potentially infectious materials

May have periods of constant interruptions
