Job Summary

Holt Truck Centers of Texas LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining On-Highway Trucks and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose engine malfunctions and failures
  • Perform engine and related equipment repairs
  • Use computer software to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines
  • Complete documentation for service reports and timecards
  • Interpret and utilize information from operating and maintenance resources
  • Operate equipment and vehicles with necessary licenses and certificates
  • Adhere to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
  • Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles in good condition
  • Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Technical schooling preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of on-highway truck service required
  • ASE – Medium/Heavy Truck Certification one or more preferred
Work Environment
  • Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts
  • May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside
  • Frequently works in an enclosed vehicle or equipment
  • Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
