Job Summary

The Dining Service Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and lounge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to guests, using proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards.
  • Table Setting and Cleaning: Remove soiled dishes, cups, glassware, and silverware from dining tables and transfer them to the kitchen. Wipe down tabletops and seating areas using proper cleaning agents.
  • Flooring Maintenance: Clean flooring underneath tables and seating as needed, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
  • Table Settings and Replenishment: Replenish applicable table settings, including linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in the dining room.
  • Opening Duties: Perform opening duties such as setting tables and arranging furniture at applicable outlets.
  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests and provide them with water and a complimentary assortment of bread.
  • Plate Removal: Remove plates as requested by guests, servers, and management.
  • Beverage Service: Assist with serving coffee and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Nightly Restocking and Cleaning: Perform nightly restocking duties and cleaning of stations.
  • Food and Beverage Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the food selections offered and the standards in service.
  • Resort Information: Provide information on resort amenities, events, promotions, etc., to increase levels of guest service.
  • Team Support: Assist all Team Members in the department as needed and applicable.
  • Equipment Cleaning: Clean counters, beverage station, and other equipment at applicable outlets.
  • Supply Management: Assist in receiving and storing food supplies as needed and applicable.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • Age: Must be 21 years of age or older to sell or serve distilled spirits. Team Members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas.
  • Certifications: Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of their confirmed training. Must successfully complete Serv Safe certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Experience: Previous experience in guest services is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Scheduling: Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Gaming License: Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American Preference: Native American hiring preference applies.
  • Soft Skills: Decision Making, Interpersonal Understanding, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Stress Tolerance.
