Graphic Design Specialist

UNC Health Care seeks a skilled Graphic Design Specialist to coordinate graphic design needs in support of the organization's brand and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Design and produce assets across multi-channel applications, including advertising, brochures, digital graphics, signage, communications, and event materials.
- Maintain brand and design standards, with guidance from department leadership.
- Manage multiple projects, working within brand design specifications and budget restrictions.
- Work closely with other marketing and communications staff to plan and maintain department production schedules.
- Support department processes and policies related to design requests, workflow, and others, as assigned.
- Research vendors and procure price quotes for printing and other design-related services.
- Maintain printed marketing materials and promotional items/supplies by coordinating requirements with the Marketing Coordinator or assigned team project manager.
- Oversee the organization's photography needs, including working with staff, volunteers, and contract photographers.
- Organize and preserve photo archives and graphic design files.
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in communications, marketing, or related field.
- Strong graphic design skills and willingness to design within brand standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working with standard desktop productivity suites such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle multiple projects independently, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines with occasional quick turnarounds.
- Possess knowledge of design principles, of the pre- and post-production process, print production, critiquing, and workflow processes.
- Experience performing project-based work statements.
- Experience working with SharePoint or other content management platforms.
- Experience with project management platforms.
- Experience in healthcare.
- Photography and/or videography skills a plus.
