Position Purpose:

The Cybersecurity Operations Engineer is responsible for managing and directing the resolution of high or critical severity incidents, ensuring prompt and effective responses through the creation of tailored automation scripts.


Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with teams to provide guidance on security best practices for Cloud, Infrastructure, Development, and Data Analysis, ensuring that security measures are integrated from the outset.

Design and implement robust technical security controls.

Conduct thorough security reviews and audits of Cloud, SaaS, Network, and AI environments to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.

Develop and deploy security automation workflows utilizing scripting languages and/or automation tools such as Torq, Tines, etc.

Provide leadership and oversight for a Security Operations Center (SOC) shift as required.

Conduct intricate investigations and offer expertise to fellow Security Analysts.

Lead the resolution of high or critical severity incidents.

Create customized scripts or procedures to automate repetitive tasks, enhancing the efficiency of incident response efforts.

Offer expert recommendations on remediation and recovery initiatives, and formulate threat remediation strategies.

Engage in proactive analysis of the attack surface, advising on potential threats and attack vectors.

Provide insights on security control capability gaps based on trends in security intrusions, while staying informed about the latest developments in cybersecurity.

Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of SOC documentation.

Contribute to SOC operational metrics and reporting.

Work in close collaboration with Security Engineering and Architecture teams.
