Medical Focus

This role is centered around the Intensive Care Unit, with a standard night shift of 4x12 hours. The schedule includes working from 06:00 PM to 06:30 AM, with a specific work pattern for the first and second weeks.

Key Responsibilities

The Surgical Technician will:

  • Assist in patient care during labor, delivery, and recovery phases.
  • Perform surgical scrub duties and maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Support the surgical team during obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) procedures.
  • Provide care to patients before and after surgical interventions.
Essential Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patient rooms and ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Opening sterile supplies and setting up for procedures using aseptic techniques.
  • Assisting the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies promptly.
  • Participating in safety protocols during each surgical case.
  • Supporting nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and discharge processes.
  • Collecting necessary specimens and monitoring maternal vital signs.
  • Providing personal care services and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Performing additional job-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (preferred).
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent experience (preferred).

Licenses/Certifications:

  • CPR or BLS certification (required).
