Role Description:
We are seeking an Instructional Coach who is passionate about education and dedicated to empowering teachers to deliver exceptional instruction. This role involves collaborating with educators to enhance their instructional strategies, social engagement, and emotional support for our students. The successful candidate will exemplify continuous improvement, lifelong learning, and strong ethical standards, while also serving as a role model of mature Christian values.

Reporting Structure:
The Instructional Coach will report directly to the Principal of the Upper Elementary School.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct model lessons in classrooms regularly to demonstrate effective teaching practices.
  • Support teachers in understanding the integration of Biblical principles across various subjects, as well as curriculum standards and assessment strategies.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with educators, administrators, and fellow coaches.
  • Guide the implementation of curriculum in alignment with the academy's initiatives and recognized best practices.
  • Assist educators in grasping the mission and core values of St. Augustine Preparatory Academy.
  • Provide resources and materials to enhance classroom instruction and planning.
  • Support the use of data to inform instructional improvements at all levels.
  • Help educators in lesson planning, differentiation, and the selection of effective teaching strategies.
  • Develop individualized coaching plans to promote teacher growth and student achievement.
  • Contribute to the establishment of systems that enhance teaching practices within the academy.
  • Lead and participate in training and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Mission-driven with a strong commitment to integrity and the values of St. Augustine Preparatory Academy.
  • Bachelor's Degree with teaching certification preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of teaching experience with a proven record of positively impacting student outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and foster a community of professional learners.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the capacity to see the broader vision while addressing specific instructional details.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including effective facilitation of professional development and constructive feedback.
  • Experience in utilizing student data to guide instructional decisions.
  • Proven leadership in teaching with a solid understanding of pedagogical practices.
  • Active participation in a church community.
  • Exemplary integrity and alignment with the values and culture of St. Augustine Preparatory Academy.
