Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Medical Assistants to contribute to our clinic operations. This full-time role involves providing essential support to physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare staff during physical examinations and various medical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals who are passionate about preventive care and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Electrocardiograms (EKGs) and various medical screenings
- Perform blood draws
- Monitor and record vital signs including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
- Document patient information accurately in medical records
- Prepare examination rooms for patient assessments
Qualifications:
- Experience in phlebotomy
- Certification as mandated by the state of New Jersey
- Current membership in AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
- A minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with EKGs and other medical screening procedures
- Basic Life Support training and certification
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and web-based applications
- Commitment to a preventive health lifestyle
