We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Observer to join our Behavioral Health team at Mass General Brigham. As a Patient Care Observer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our patients in the Behavioral Health unit.
Key Responsibilities- Remain in constant attendance with assigned high-risk patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Immediately report any observed changes in patient condition to the patient's nurse.
- Perform tasks to maintain patient comfort and safety, including falls prevention, assisting with toileting, and offering food and fluids.
- Assist patients with ambulation and turning/repositioning while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.
- Recognize when to call for help and respond accordingly.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- AVADE certification required within 30 days.
- Experience working in a clinical environment preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
