Nurse Supervisor

The Kenaitze Indian Tribe seeks a skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and supervision to Certified Medical Assistants and Nurse Case Managers at the Dena'ina Wellness Center. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless support and will be responsible for ensuring competency of their staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to Certified Medical Assistants and Nurse Case Managers
- Ensure annually updated competencies for all supervised employees
- Advocate for integrated care and support process improvement throughout the Dena'ina Wellness Center
- Assist with vaccine storage and administration as back-up Immunization Coordinator
- Delegate and oversee tasks including QA duties, CPR classes, VacTrak, supply management, and sterilization duties
- Assign direct provider support schedule, immunization schedule, and cross-cover duties to ensure patient flow and proper care
- Ensure compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies, and TERO ordinance
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree or Associate's Degree in Nursing with supervisory experience
- Five years of nursing experience and three years of supervisory experience
- Registered Nurse in the state of Alaska and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification
- Valid Alaska State driver's license and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with electronic health records and proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a service-oriented approach
