Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Overview

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for operating and driving electric-powered industrial truck equipment to move products, equipment, and materials within the warehouse, storage yard, or factory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
  • Deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner to ensure production standards are maintained.
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Verify "bill of lading" on product tags.
  • Load materials, install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage while in transit.
  • Safely move, load, and unload product to and from pallet racks.
  • Deliver product to the correct storage bays or bins, following inventory control instructions.
  • Read orders and/or follow oral instructions to meet scheduled activities as directed.
  • Receive materials and verify against packing lists to ensure the accuracy of the delivery.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs, and completing daily forklift maintenance/check sheets.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of forklift experience.
  • Experienced operating power tool equipment, including cherry pickers, reach trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Previous experience with material handling is required.
  • Must know how to properly operate a forklift.
  • Working knowledge of scanning equipment, internal database tracking systems, dollies, and carts.
  • Must successfully pass all CBPS Safety Training and equipment handling procedures.
  • Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be capable of standing and/or walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, crouch, squat, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis.
  • May lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
