Job Title: Diesel Powertrain Calibration Specialist

At Zobility, we are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Powertrain Calibration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, testing, and optimizing vehicle attributes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement calibration strategies to optimize vehicle performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of calibration solutions.
  • Analyze data and develop statistical models to inform calibration decisions.
  • Interface with software algorithm suppliers to evaluate new features and technologies.
  • Document progress and methods used to calibrate and validate features.
  • Use models and simulation to reduce testing and optimize powertrain calibrations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSAE, BS Chemical Engineering, BSE Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in powertrain calibration with vehicle and/or dyno testing.
  • Master of Science in Engineering; Electrical, Mechanical, or similar.
  • Proficient with Matlab and Calibration Tools including ETAS and/or ATI.
  • Understanding of Emission Regulatory requirements, including OBD.
  • Demonstrated ability to create or invent solutions to new or changing requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand powertrain control strategies (C-code & model-based).
  • CAE experience with modeling/simulation to calibrate and optimize engine control features.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of internal combustion engines (especially diesels) and effective engine and vehicle test methods.
