HRA is seeking a Community Activity Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $55,000 - $65,000.

Job Description

The Community Activity Specialist will be responsible for assisting the DLE in planning, coordinating, and running all community activities. This includes:

  • Assisting with the planning of the monthly activities calendar;
  • Encouraging residents to participate in community activities and supporting them to attend while promoting their independence;
  • Helping with ordering supplies and equipment for regular activities;
  • Maintaining the Activity Participation Tracking Chart, if applicable;

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a safe and alert manner. They will also be required to safely drive residents to and from activities when needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • A valid driver's license;
  • The ability to take ownership for associate's safety and the safety of the residents.
