Job Title: Registered Nurse - Long Term Care
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Complete Care at Park Place Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and Monitor Residents' Health: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, monitoring their health status and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and documentation.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address residents' unique needs and goals.
- Coordinate and Supervise Care: Supervise and coordinate the care provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff members, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care that meets their needs.
- Document Resident Information: Accurately document residents' medical histories, care plans, and progress, maintaining up-to-date records and reports.
- Respond to Medical Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and support to residents and their families.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Ensure Infection Control: Implement and maintain infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Manage Medical Equipment: Safely operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring that it is functioning properly and efficiently.
- Provide Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families, promoting a positive and supportive care environment.
- Advocate for Residents' Rights: Advocate for residents' rights and dignity, ensuring that their needs and preferences are respected and honored.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- RN/LPN Certification: Current RN/LPN certification in the state of New Jersey is required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting is preferred.
