Job Summary

Madison Area Technical College is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Part-time Film Instructor to teach part-time courses for the Film program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and participating in college service activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach part-time courses in the Film program, including Introduction to Film and History of World Cinema.
  • Design and implement effective learning strategies and environments, including hybrid, face-to-face, and online course delivery.
  • Participate in in-service meetings, staff development training, and other activities or programs requested by the Department.
  • Assist and advise students with academic matters, including assignments, tests, grades, and career concerns.
  • Maintain competencies as an instructor, aligned with the Faculty Quality Assurance System.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Film, Creative Writing (screen writing emphasis), English, or Mass Communication.
  • 18 graduate credits in film history and analysis.
