WBW Development is on the lookout for a seasoned Project Manager to bolster our expanding office. This position entails supervising the bidding and estimating phases for civil construction initiatives. The Project Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including site clearing, earth moving, utility installation, road construction, curb and gutter work, paving, and finalizing punch lists for municipal approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract & Subcontract Management: Oversee all contract and subcontract agreements to ensure compliance and successful execution.
  • Submittal Preparation: Prepare and review project submittals to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project timelines, coordinating with various stakeholders for timely completion.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of job performance to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Material Sourcing: Identify and procure necessary materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Plans and Specifications Review: Analyze plans and specifications to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Financial Management: Prepare monthly billing statements and financial forecasts to monitor project costs and revenues.
  • Communication: Maintain effective daily communication with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site visits and compile comprehensive reports on project status.
  • Quantity Management: Track and monitor quantities of materials and work completed to ensure accuracy and control costs.
  • Project Reporting: Generate detailed reports to keep management and clients informed of progress and challenges.
  • Progress Meetings: Organize and lead regular meetings with team members and stakeholders to discuss updates and address concerns.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, and municipal officials to identify and resolve project-related issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction science, or construction management.
  • Or 5+ years of proven experience in project management within the construction sector, particularly in civil construction.
  • Familiarity with HSCC Heavy Bid and Heavy Job software is preferred.
  • Prior experience in bidding and estimating is advantageous.
  • Exposure to TXDOT project management is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, including site clearing, earth moving, utility installation, road construction, curb and gutter work, and paving.
  • Excellent contract management skills and experience with subcontract administration.
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing submittals and managing project schedules.
  • Ability to conduct job performance evaluations and manage material procurement effectively.
  • Expertise in reviewing plans and specifications and managing monthly billing and forecasting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in conducting site inspections and preparing detailed reports.
  • Proficient in quantity tracking and project reporting.
  • Ability to lead progress meetings and collaboratively solve problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
