Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment that promotes developmental growth.
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental progress.
  • Execute approved lesson plans and daily schedules in alignment with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Build authentic relationships with each child.
  • Facilitate learning in language, literacy, science, and essential life skills.
  • Maintain an organized classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.
  • Identify and implement the most effective teaching strategies for each child.
Qualifications:
  • Responsible for supervising and managing daily classroom activities for a group of children.
  • Adhere to all regulations and guidelines set forth by Primrose School of Denver North and relevant regulatory agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily schedules in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Maintain an attractive and well-organized classroom that fosters creativity and exploration.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom and shared spaces.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in line with the Primrose School of Denver North Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in additional tasks as determined necessary by the Director or designated personnel.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Meet the basic requirements set by local childcare regulatory agencies.
  • Prior experience in a licensed early childhood education setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children in various situations.
  • Qualified as an Early Childhood Teacher or Lead Teacher.
