Job Overview:

This position involves routine manual labor focused on the thorough cleaning and upkeep of County facilities while executing various project tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively, including chemicals, vacuums, buffers, and carpet extractors.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing.
  • Dust and polish furniture and woodwork to maintain a clean environment.
  • Ensure restrooms are sanitized, including all fixtures, and replenish necessary paper products.
  • Clean interior glass surfaces and doors, ensuring clarity and cleanliness.
  • Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
  • Engage in various routine cleaning activities as assigned.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with facility users.

Additional Duties:

  • Request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:
Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
Required: Previous experience in building cleaning.

Certifications:
None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment usage. Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions and comprehend safety guidelines associated with cleaning products.

Additional Requirements:
Must pass a comprehensive criminal history and Child Protective Services background check. Good physical condition is essential. Following a conditional offer of employment, a post-offer physical examination is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
