**Job Summary**
The Sanitation Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees at ADUSA D&T. This position is responsible for ensuring all sanitation standards are met, adhering to company protocols, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily sanitation tasks, including picking up debris, emptying trash cans, and removing spills in a prompt manner.
- Sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms, break-rooms, and offices in assigned areas.
- Clean and maintain sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
- Record and report all damaged product properly.
- Follow good sanitation practices, keeping work areas clean and free of debris.
- Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
- Understand and apply Food Safety handling techniques, practices, and expectations for the work environment.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service, communication, verbal, and written skills.
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
- Meet production standards set by the company.
- Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
- Must be able to work the needed schedule to perform assigned duties.
- Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Education.
- Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable.
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.
Working Conditions:
The Sanitation Specialist will work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions, including cool temperatures, concrete floors, and powered industrial trucks.
