About the Role

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a reliable and compassionate Part Time Kennel Attendant to join our team in our boarding facility. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our boarding pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed and provide fresh water to pets in our care
  • Administer medication as prescribed by our veterinarians
  • Bathe and groom pets as needed
  • Trim toenails and maintain overall hygiene
  • Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report to our veterinarians
  • Practice proper restraint and safety techniques when handling pets
  • Clean and maintain kennels, indoor runs, and hallways
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Perform frequent bending and lifting of up to 40 pounds
  • Comply with OSHA cleaning and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with laundry and other tasks as needed
