Job Title: Registered Nurse

Sun River Health is a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing comprehensive primary, dental, pediatric, OB-GYN, and behavioral health care to underserved communities.

We are seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join our team at our Goshen, NY location.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing care to patients, within an assigned unit or authorized community health center site, in support of medical care as directed by the medical staff and pursuant to the objectives and policies of Sun River Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interview patients for health history, including current complaint, and past and present use of medication, utilizing patient identifiers; document patient charts (must be time stamped and/or initialed)
  • Maintain patient medical records and charts the following: nursing observations; vital signs; reactions to tests, i.e., PPD results, in-house testing, and other pertinent information
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations of patients
  • Initiate follow-up, as necessary. Instruct patients on healthcare issues, as indicated by physician, diagnosis, and/or inquiries by patient
  • Assess and triage patients as they present, either by telephone or in person
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide appropriate care
  • Attend mandated training and keep up to date on all nursing procedures, including relevant procedures
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience:

* - 4 years of experience

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Registered Nurse - NYS
  • CPR Certification
  • Infection Control Certification
