Chief Nursing Officer

About the Role:

Ascension is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of safety and quality. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes, enhance the nursing experience, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care that align with Ascension's mission and values.
* Collaborate with medical staff, leadership, and other stakeholders to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
* Foster a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care by promoting a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement initiatives to improve nurse engagement, retention, and satisfaction, and to reduce turnover and improve quality metrics.
* Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and to promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Nursing required.
* 5 years of experience in nursing leadership, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven track record of improving patient outcomes, enhancing the nursing experience, and driving operational excellence.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
