Job Summary:
HQ Aero Management Inc. is seeking an experienced Junior Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. As a Junior Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing and ensuring the proper completion of all maintenance activities, with the support of experienced A&Ps. You will ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate, and all components installed are properly certified.
Responsibilities:
- Develop skills by performing and ensuring proper completion of all maintenance activities.
- Ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate.
- Install and certify all components.
- Operate in compliance with company safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:
- General Aviation experience performed at a flight school is preferred.
- A&P License in process preferred.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
- Criminal Background checks & Compliant with FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
Essential Job Functions:
- Proven technical and mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings and technical instructions.
- The ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools, safely and with care and precision, is essential.
- Ability to understand and follow directions with general supervision.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Any other job-related duties assigned with the highest level of ethics, integrity, safety, and honesty.
- Be able to lift equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to climb ladders, apply finger and hand dexterity in using hand tools and be able to move around the shop/hangar area and within aircraft continuously throughout the workday.
