Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict sterilization protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, contributing to the development of annual educational plans.
  • Adhere to Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience, including a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Graduate of an approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
  • National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery from National Center.
