Job Title: Cath Lab/IR Tech

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Cath Lab/IR Tech will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular technology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures
  • Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure
  • Monitor par level of all instruments and supplies
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities
  • Assist in the training of new staff
Qualifications:
  • ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
  • Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred
  • Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring; preferred
  • BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire
  • Proficient computer skills
