Job Summary

Keolis North America LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our coaches, ensuring they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Complex Issues: Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to identify and repair complex problems with our coaches, including but not limited to; ADA equipment, air conditioning, brakes, chassis, cooling system, engine, interior/exterior lighting, gauges and controls, safety equipment, fire suppression system, sensitive edges, tires and transmissions.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts to ensure our coaches are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other mechanics and maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective repairs, and to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Document Work Performed: Accurately document all work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and inspections, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Five (5) to Eight (8) years of progressive heavy equipment maintenance experience required. ASE Transit Certification preferred, with an expectation to pursue additional certifications.
  • Technical Skills: Must have an in-depth understanding of the design, adjustment, and overhaul of ADA equipment, air conditioning, brakes, chassis, cooling system, engine, interior/exterior lighting, gauges and controls, safety equipment, fire suppression system, and sensitive edges, tires and transmissions.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical activities, including working on top of coaches and lifting up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Communication Skills: Must have good communication skills, ability to both verbally and in written format document questions and diagnostic information to management personnel.
