Job Summary

We are seeking a service-oriented, motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team and assist providers with back-office duties to provide quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Prepare patients for healthcare visits by accompanying them to exam rooms, providing gowns and drapes, arranging exam instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Collect and document patient information, clinical data, and other relevant information.
  • Accurately and timely complete documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and paper documentation while ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Work with the healthcare team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow and clinical operations.
  • Respond to care questions or complaints to immediately resolve or escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Deliver patient care per provider orders and based on practice guidelines, physician delegation regulations, and state Medical Assistant State Scope of Practice regulations.
  • Order, stock, and maintain exam rooms, special order items, and supply storage areas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Graduate of a medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association (required).
  • Current certification from the certifying board of the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center for Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologist, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (required).
  • Experience with EHR systems is highly desired.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Medical office, procedure/exam room, and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards, or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
