The Unit Inspection Specialist will be tasked with thoroughly examining and documenting any imperfections of incoming recreational vehicles. This role involves conducting comprehensive interior and exterior inspections, generating necessary documentation for pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and warranty claims, and performing data entry to ensure accurate recording of all new units in our management system and on our online platforms.

As part of our hiring process, candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect for damages, scratches, delamination, and any missing or defective components, documenting findings for PDI and warranty purposes.
  • Accurately record all identified issues during the inspection and capture photographic evidence.
  • Prepare units for connection to power and ensure readiness for further processing.
  • Communicate any significant concerns for review prior to releasing units.
  • Verify that all necessary documentation is included with each unit.
  • Ensure proper display of license plates, stickers, and tire covers on each vehicle.
  • Identify and organize unit inclusions such as cleaning equipment, backup cameras, chargers, keys, manuals, and remotes for secure storage.
  • Create and affix stock unit labels and point-of-sale materials.
  • Manage daily communications via email to keep team members and vendors informed about the inspection process.
  • Ensure warranty claims are supported with complete and accurate documentation.
  • Effectively photograph new units entering the inventory.
  • Prepare estimates for necessary repairs as part of the service process.
  • Collaborate with internal service advisors and shop foremen to facilitate the movement of service tickets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency required (knowledge of IDS is advantageous).
  • A passion for the outdoors, as this position primarily involves outdoor work.
  • Experience in the RV industry is preferred.
  • Ability to learn about systems, mechanics, and features of RVs to ensure accurate information is recorded.
