Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

BronxWorks is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational programs for children aged 0-5 years.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
  • Establish a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages children to explore and discover.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within the Bronx and surrounding areas.
