Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Renown Regional Medical Center. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare data management and analytics efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, access, validate, query, and analyze data from various data repositories using available tools.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and data mining methodologies to analyze complex clinical datasets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and derive meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to provide analytical support for clinical studies and research projects, assist in study design, sample size estimation, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plans.
  • Create clear and concise visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to investigators.
  • Present findings in a compelling manner, tailored to the target audience, and generate publication-quality graphs and write associated manuscript sections to describe methodology and results in detail for inclusion in scientific publications.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of clinical data by conducting quality assurance checks and implementing data validation procedures, identify and resolve data discrepancies or anomalies.
Requirements
  • Masters degree with 2 years experience preferred; bachelors degree with 5 years of equivalent experience will be considered in place of masters degree requirement; AA or no degree with 10 years experience.
  • Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience with at least three (3) years working in data management, analysis, governance, reporting, or other BI related experience.
  • Requires least two (2) years healthcare data experience; more is preferred. SQL and statistical experience and proficiency is required.
  • Ability to obtain Epic Systems Cogito Fundamentals Certificate is required within 12 months of hire. Must stay current on new version certification as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or Microsoft Azure applications.
