Job Overview
The HVAC Technician is tasked with the upkeep, installation, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role emphasizes a proactive approach to service excellence, strict adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to address guest needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance of all HVAC systems within the facility, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Variable Air Volume systems (VAVs), Fan Powered Boxes (FPBs), Water Source Heat Pumps (WSHPs), Split Systems, and Pumps.
- Ensure the proper functioning of kitchen appliances.
- Maintain ice-making equipment.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Be knowledgeable about Omni fire alarm protocols and emergency procedures.
- Complete all assigned work orders and daily responsibilities.
- Collaborate with mechanics and external contractors for repairs on property and equipment.
- Manage inventory for all HVAC supplies.
- Keep accurate logs of refrigerant usage.
- Assist with daily monitoring and documentation.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and provide assistance as required.
- Address other equipment needs as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold EPA Universal certification.
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of working independently.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and commitment to guest satisfaction are essential.
- Ability to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Comfortable using step stools and ladders.
- Work environment includes both indoor office conditions and outdoor exposure to various weather elements.
- Must be able to handle hazardous chemicals and work with high and low voltage electricity.
