About the Role

This Medical Laboratory Specialist will play a vital role in our healthcare team by performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on various biological specimens using automated equipment and manual techniques.
  • Analyze test results and report findings accurately to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper calibration and quality control measures are followed.
  • Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with advancements in laboratory science and technology.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field for Medical Technologists; Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology for Medical Laboratory Technicians.

A certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized accrediting agency is preferred. Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is also desirable.
