Laboratory Specialist

As a Clinical Testing Professional at Christus Health, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely laboratory results. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Perform clinical testing in assigned sections, including general laboratory, Blood Bank, and Microbiology, with duties necessary for accurate and timely results.
• Recognize abnormal critical values and follow proper guidelines for notifying medical team members of results.
• Complete daily operations in the laboratory, including clerical, general, and phlebotomy duties.
• Provide/dispense blood products as requested by medical staff.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid foundation in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology. A minimum of an Associate's Degree is required, with some exceptions for military training or equivalent experience. You must also have strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
