Job Overview

The Senior Implementation Engineer at SSP Innovations plays a crucial role in delivering expertise and support for the deployment and configuration of the 3GIS application suite, along with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/PRO/Server and 3GIS Mobile application software tailored for both internal and external clients.

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Consulting, installing, configuring, and optimizing performance for 3GIS Network Solutions, ESRI, web services, and database software across various server setups and architectures, including cloud-based systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving client issues related to Windows Server, IIS, ESRI GIS software, 3GIS solutions, and user workflows.
  • Providing technical assistance to clients, including end users of the 3GIS Network Solution and GIS analysts/administrators.
  • Assessing existing client data and processes to create strategic plans for migration to an enterprise GIS framework.
  • Managing database administration tasks, including schema modifications.
  • Leading customer needs assessments and requirements gathering sessions as the internal subject matter expert.
  • Documenting recommended solutions based on client feedback.
  • Developing scripts and models utilizing ArcGIS Modelbuilder, Python scripting, and other automation tools.
  • Collaborating with architects, project managers, and developers to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Training end users and system administrators on the effective use and integration of 3GIS.
  • Ensuring best practices are followed in Network Solution deployment.
  • Testing new software features and bug resolutions.
  • Preparing and delivering comprehensive demonstrations of 3GIS products.
Required Qualifications
  • Telecom-related GIS experience is essential for this role.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of directly applicable experience (Senior Level Implementation Engineer).
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server Administration, ESRI ArcGIS (Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise/Server), and Database Management.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server Administration and standard Database Management (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), as well as Database Programming (e.g., Python Scripting).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in the Telecom sector.
  • Advanced understanding of Systems Integration (e.g., API/Webhooks).
  • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS Portal.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, particularly Jira.
  • Knowledge of Jenkins Automation and Pipeline.
