Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing and organizing stock in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and perform a variety of warehousing duties, including loading, checking, order picking, and shipping.
  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of outbound shipments.
  • Ensure that all customer orders and branch transfers are filled, packaged, loaded, and delivered correctly and on time.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies, to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and housekeeping, and lead the team in best practices and proper procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Assist and direct efficiency inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
  • Assist in the training and development of Warehouse associates, and may monitor attendance, hours worked, and job performance.
  • Be courteous in all contact with company customers.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and objects.
  • Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment.
  • Skill in operating large vehicles in tight and congested areas.
  • Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Customer-focused and team-oriented.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to stand and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The typical environment includes offices, light industrial, commercial, utility, and manufacturing settings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
