Event Setup and Support

The Yorktowne Hotel a Tapestry Collection by Hilton is seeking a skilled Banquet Houseperson to join our hospitality team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for the setup and breakdown of all banquet functions and meeting rooms. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will ensure that our guests receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all banquet function sheets and set up each function room according to instructions.
  • Ensure that all required items are provided according to instructions.
  • Sign out necessary keys from a key lock box at the beginning of the shift and return keys at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet function spaces.
  • Continually maintain communication with the guest contact person for needed necessary items.
  • Inform supervisor of guest complaints/compliments.
  • Break down all equipment at the end of the function.
  • Return all equipment to the necessary storage location.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

Requirements:

  • Prior banquet experience.
  • Prior banquet set-up experience.
