About the Role:
As a valued member of our front-of-house team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Benihana National Corp. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and courteous demeanor.
- Answers telephone calls and takes reservations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manages the seating of guests to tables, ensuring a seamless and organized process.
- Provides menu and server information to guests, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
- Relays guest seating and information to servers and bus persons, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
- Oversees dining room activity, ensuring guest seating efficiency and a positive dining experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
- Good verbal and nonverbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work under stress, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task throughout shifts.
- Sound judgment and good problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED preferred, with an equivalent combination of education/experience considered.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, with a willingness to work overtime as required.
